Ad Of The Decade – iTV1
Ad Of The Decade featured the stars of the adverts which British viewers have come to know and love; JOHNNY VEGAS as seen in the ‘PG Tips’ campaign, HOWARD BROWN from the Halifax advert, the kids from ‘Cadbury eyebrows’ and BRIAN MACKIE, the star of the epic Hovis advert which depicts 122 years of history in just 122 seconds.

The programme also speaks to rock star PHIL COLLINS after his classic song ‘In The Air Tonight’ was given a new lease of life when the Cadbury’s gorilla commercial became a smash hit.

From dancing eyebrows and talking meerkats, to a car made of cake and the world’s longest waterslide, BEN SHEPHARD narrated the celebratory countdown of the 20 greatest commercials to grace our TV screens over the past decade.

Coming in at number 9 was the ‘Howard of the Halifax’ advert featuring the vocals of Elroy ‘Spoonface’ Powell.
Known for his vocal contribution the the number 1 smash Barry White cover single “You see the Trouble with Me” it was a no brainer for the ad agency to call in the Spoon to give it some Bazza all over again.
